Jacoby-regeln
Jacoby-regeln är namngiven efter spelaren Oswald Jacoby. Jacoby-regeln säger att gammon och backgammon enbart kan inträffa om och endast om någon av spelarna har erbjudit fördubbling under spelets gång.
Jacoby-reglen används mest i spel om pengar för att uppmuntra spelarna att spela högre. Detta ökar också tempot. Jacoby-regeln används i huvudsak i spel om pengar och används sällan i tävlingsspel.
