Quackgammon – the family version

Endless Games has released a family fun variation of backgammon called Quackgammon. The classic board game specialist is releasing this travel game at the New York Toy Fair in February 2009. Quackgammon is set to ship in June and should be fun for the whole family.

Unlike the traditional game where two players move their 15 checkers around the board, in this new version of the game, each player moves their flock of three mallards around a peaceful lake. In the traditional game, having multiple checkers on the same point protects them but in Quackgammon you only need to have the fowls positioned next to each other. Any fowl that is alone is quite simply put, a sitting duck.

Endless games was founded by game inventor Brian Turtle and industry veterans Mike Gasser and Kevin McNutty. They specialize in games that last hours at affordable prices and have had numerous hits already like Trivial Pursuit™, Pictionary®, and Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon™. Quackgammon is a simpler version of the classic board game and designed for quick play that even young children can enjoy.
